Company

PHREALOG was founded 25 years ago by Marc Schöttler as a university spin-off specializing in in-situ groundwater flow measurements. The vision was to gain insights into groundwater flow conditions that are difficult to obtain using conventional investigation methods, particularly under challenging hydrogeological settings. To achieve this, an imaging-based, laser illuminated measurement technology was developed for in-situ groundwater flow measurements in boreholes and groundwater monitoring wells.

Today, we look back on significant achievements while continuing to pursue further innovation, as exciting hydrogeological insights still lie ahead. Over the past 25 years, we have integrated our expert knowledge and experience gained from numerous measurement campaigns into the continuous development of our technology and data interpretation methods. During this time, we have provided valuable information to support planning processes, risk assessment, and proof of concept for our clients.

We are convinced that the combination of proprietary measurement technology, hydrodynamic understanding, research, quality management and field experience provides substantial potential for addressing future hydrogeological challenges and will continue to play an important role in groundwater exploration and monitoring.
